Yes, I'm still doing very well. In fact I'm so confident that yesterday I joined a DietBet challenge. DietBet is a social weight loss challenge where players put a set amount of money (mine is $30) into the pot and those who lose 4% of their body weight in 4 weeks win the challenge. The pot is split between the winners. Currently, my game's pot is up to $20,250 with 675 players. It officially starts tomorrow.
I had to weigh in last night and take 2 pictures: 1) my feet on the scale showing my weight and the code word written on an index card. The word for this challenge was FENNEL. 2) a full-length body shot of myself standing on the scale again with the code word. I got those submitted and then they were verified and approved.
My starting weight for this challenge is 191.6. My end weight has to be 183.9 with the final weigh in on August 19th. Absolutely I can do it. And one reason I'm happy that my starting weight is 191 is because I have yet to see 183. The lowest I've seen was 184. I'm actually hoping for 180. So here's to a new bottom weight!
One cool rule DietBet has is that players can't lose 12% or more of their body weight within this 4-week timeframe. Of course that becomes cause for speculation. Really, that would require me to lose 22lbs. No way! If the final weigh in picture shows a 12% or better loss, the player is disqualified.
